I’ve decided to move my blog to Blogger…

Honestly, I was kind of jealous of all the cutesy blogs out there, and quite disappointed that I couldn’t find anything for WordPress, unless I paid for it. I decided it might be worth it to move over to blogger and see how it goes.

I don’t want to confuse the few people who stop by, so I’m leaving my old blog up with a redirect to the new one. If that doesn’t work out… who knows! LOL!!

A new day…

A new picture! And perhaps a perfect one to put on a layout! This is of my youngest daughter, it’s her off day from school today, so in turn she is my lucky model! An unknowing one, that is. Is there anything more peaceful than pictures of sleeping babies or kids? I didn’t think so! She tired herself out cleaning her room today… I’m sure her room was just played in and she’ll recruit her sister and brother to help her once they’re off school and she’s refreshed..

A Photo a day…

So. I thought I’d jump on this new (or maybe not so new, cause I’m slow in the blog world, lol) fad of taking a picture a day. Not so sure I’ll post them on here each day… but I’m giving it a go.  Since my kids are at school, while I got this brain wave… here’s my next best subject.

Hubby’s new toy! Isn’t it wonderful?! Isn’t it great?!!  Doesn’t it make you think of all the yummy dinners that will be made on it?!! Isn’t it just screaming SUMMER at you? ISN’T IT IN THE WRONG PLACE?!! Yup. It’s in my livingroom. Beside the birdcage, and beside the back door. It’s been sitting here since LAST Monday!!  This is what I came home to from an appt last week… in my lvingroom *sigh* … Boys will be boys… I think he wants to savor his brand new BBQ for a while longer.

So… there it is … my first Photo of the ‘Year’.

Here is my take on Paper Popsicle’s April Sketch

I’m not really thrilled about it… but I think I’ve done worse LOL!!

I LOVE how this one turned out. I love the red, black and white together. I love how simple I left it..  most of the following layouts are fairly simple.. I think I have a ‘thing’ for simple layouts right now…

Love this one too, although the scan cut off most of the stamping down the side…

This one took FOREVER to come up with the perfect background color that wouldn’t take away from the picture.. once again, I’m pleased with this one..

And two cards… I must admit they look much better than the scan… but I’m too lazy to re-scan, lol

This one is quite simple… but I love the colors on the black background..

I really like how this one turned out… I was really stumped on what I was going to do on the bottom half… that’s when I came up with grass!!

Doing the HAPPY dance!!

WOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I’m so excited, and THRILLED!! For my first time EVER!! I get to be a member as a Design Team… well Guest Designer, but still!! I’m soooo excited!!

For the month of  MAY I am a Guest Designer over at Paper Popsicles!!!

I found out yesterday, but couldn’t say anything until it was posted on their Blog and Forums…  That was SO hard, LOL!!

Finally I can share!

I tried out to be a guest designer at lovebug… didn’t win (but some totally awesomely talented ladies got the spots!! And Congrat’s!! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!!!  ).

Anyways, when I applied I was to send an altered item as part of my ‘resume’. So, I altered some paper (heehee) I made this Fantasy Box.. it’s so cool! And was so fun to make!!

Rainy day…

So, I completed a couple layouts for a couple challenges, and a card for a challenge, and a just because card…

This one was for a paper piecing challenge, over at Lovebug..

Another one, a ‘Grids and Collages’ challenge.. over at Lovebug

This card was for a flower stamping Challenge, over at Paper Popsicles..  I didn’t have real flower to use, so I used a silk flower..

And a card, that wasn’t for a challenge…

Gotta love rainy days, to complete some scrapping! Better than staying inside scrapping and missing the SUN!!

On an not so scrappy note, to follow up my last post… Kaidynce’s appt went GREAT!!  Her hearing is now 100% !! Tubes are still in nicely!! Ohhhhhh happy days!! And her speech is clearing up so much more!! Yay!!

Long day ahead!!

After sending the kids to school, we head off to an appt. with the schools speech and language pathologist to see how Kaidynce is coming along.. Then we’re heading out for lunch. After lunch, back to the school to see an assembly, that MacKayla so desperately wanted us to go to. They’re singing or something, and she’s too proud! Then we collect the girls from school, meet our son, then head to the hospital to see the ENT that did Kaidynce’s surgeries. She’ll (hopefully) get her hearing tested, or get an appt. to get it tested. I can’t wait to find out the results of these surgeries ON PAPER!!

Sure, people around us, say she’s cleared up even more after her surgery, but we heard the same thing after her 4 months of intensive speech therapy. You know your kids… even if no one else can understand one word coming out of their mouth, you know what they’re saying, and can translate…. well this was us with Kaidynce. So even though she couldn’t speak clearly, we understood. Nothing there has changed. So we can’t tell the changes as well as someone who doesn’t live with her. The obvious changes we can… not the little ones.

So, it should be interesting!!

All that above, alone is going to bring us to supper time…  add in the fact we walk, and no where is close to the other place, we are going to be dog tired when we get home… I’m foreseeing pizza and a nice quiet night. Supposed to be rainy and stormy all weekend, so maybe I’ll have the chance to fill up my blog with scrappy goodness….
